Common Mistakes That Lead to Refusal
1. Applying Late Missing the 180-day window = automatic refusal. No exceptions.
2. Study Permit Expired You must have valid status when applying. If your permit expires: - Apply to extend it BEFORE it expires - Or apply for PGWP before expiry
3. Didn't Maintain Full-Time Status Taking reduced course loads without authorization can disqualify you.
4. Online Learning Violations More than 50% of your program cannot be distance learning (some COVID exceptions).
5. Program Not Eligible Double-check your DLI's PGWP eligibility BEFORE enrolling.
